Miscellaneous and Budget Items
This page features budget items, as well as anything that doesn't fit into any other category. My prices are based mostly on the amount of time I invest in the pieces, so the least expensive items are those that could be made quickly and sometimes in runs of numerous duplicate items. They are generally not as inspired as my more elaborate (and pricier) items. But they allow those with limited disposable income to support the various underlying values of the business (see the About page).
This group of earrings:
These are all gold-tone or gold-plated “base metal,” with no significant precious metal content. Most of the beads are Czech pressed glass. Some are pictured with fishhook earwires, and some with kidney earwires (the kind that latch), but either style of earwire is available for all of them; use the drop-down menu to select which kind you want.
The following groups of earrings are clip-on or post earrings, as specified. Finding are gold-tone “base metal.”
Braided Beads
These pieces look like dainty beadwork, but are actually pretty rugged. The braided strands are glass seed beads and Czech pressed glass beads strung on nylon-coated multi-strand wire cable, and it would take extreme force or wire cutters to break the strands (though glass beads can of course be broken, so I'm not suggesting abuse of the pieces). “Cathedral” beads are Czech pressed glass beads that are faceted and are capped with another color at each end. In all of the pieces below which have cathedral beads, they are capped in a bronze color.
With gold-plated brass lobster claw clasps (except for the black, white, and gray version; see item description). Lengths are approximate. Pieces can also be worn doubled over as bracelets.
